Question 1

How do I invite people?

Accepted Answer

Every gift has one invite link. Copy it under Invite friends in the Workshop and drop it in the group chat. Nobody needs an app.

Rather show a QR code? Tap the gear (Settings), then Show the code. Anyone with the link can add something, so keep it to the group chat, not a public post. Ended up somewhere it shouldn’t? Tap Swap for a new link and the old one stops working right away.

Question 2

How do I give it to them?

Accepted Answer

Open the tab with their name on it (For Maya). There’s a QR code, a link and a code to read out. Print a card, share the link or read the code down the phone. It never expires and it works once.

They point their iPhone camera at it and the Lovedrop app does the rest. Card lost before it was opened? Tap Lost the card? Make a new link and the old one is dead.

The moment someone opens it, we email you to ask: was it them? By then they’ve seen your opening message. The rest waits for your yes. Not them? Say so and you get a fresh link to send.

Question 3

Why can’t I pick delivery dates?

Accepted Answer

Because the slow drip is the gift. Messages land about two weeks apart, never closer than a week, between 9am and 8pm their time. The next one waits until they’ve opened the last.

What you do pick is the order. In the Workshop, tap Rearrange under Running order and drag them into the story you want. Your opening message always goes first. Anything already on its way stays put.

Question 4

Why can’t I watch the messages?

Accepted Answer

Because they’re not for you. You see who sent something, which question they answered and whether it’s a video, a voice note, a photo or words. Never the message itself. Not even yours once it’s sent.

That’s exactly why people say things they’d never say with you watching.

Question 5

How do I take someone out?

Accepted Answer

In the Workshop, tap the people count (say, 5 people), then the ✕ next to their name. Their messages leave with them. Anything that has already arrived stays where it is.

Once they’re out, they can’t add anything more to this gift. There’s no way to remove a single message. If one needs to go, write to us at hello@lovedrop.app.
